Description
Heute mal was ganz entspanntes ... bin mit Markus zusammen gemütlich zum Steinbruch Winterhausen. Dort bissl rumjuckeln, bissl spazieren waren wir auch. Und dabei viele ☀️ tanken. Abfahrt hatte ich eigentlich auf einen Schotterweg zum Main runter gehofft. War am Ende aber alles asphaltiert.

@stesie very promising 🤩🤩🤩 how does it work with federation? Is this a wholly separate network that somehow posts a link or is this actually the same activitypub item with an alternate render? Like, can we imagine the pictures and text in here directly?

it's not a separate network, I want it to fully utilise activitypub. The trips are shared as a "Note", so they show up in Mastodon et al ... but I also want to add trip details there, so federation from WueRide instance to another also works (and shows up as a trip on both ends) Regarding Mastodon federation I also see it as a must have, that it shares a preview image of the route and at least the first few images that were uploaded.

Ich frage mich: Teilt man über die Logik nicht versehentlich seinen Wohnort?

Hej Lukas, nice, dass es dir gefällt. Sicherlich braucht die Anwendung noch (ein paar) privacy features, wie eben das Entfernen von den ersten und letzten paar Metern. Sowohl Strava als auch Komoot sehen ja vor, dass man "private Zonen" hinterlegt ... ähnliches schwebt mir für WueRide auch vor. Existiert derweil aber noch nicht ...
